The mission of the “Cranford 86” is to memorialize the lives of the 80+ men that gave their life during World War I & II and the Korean and Vietnam Wars.

World War I

The Cranford 86 project, which is part of the Cranford Historical Society, needs donations to help cover the cost of research and publishing the stories of our local heroes.

Korean War

The Korean War represented a crucial conflict for the United States during the Cold War era, as it engaged militarily in Korea to contain the spread of communism, ultimately resulting in a stalemate and the establishment of a demilitarized zone between North and South Korea.

Vietnam War

The Vietnam War highlighted the United States' dedication to supporting global anti-communist efforts, demonstrating its resolve and capacity for extensive military engagement in the pursuit of what it saw as a pivotal geopolitical strategy.
